Mix 1/2 cup water, 2 cups sugar and 1/4 cup lemon juice in a pan over medium heat. Stir the mixture until it bubbles and becomes a smooth consistency. Remove the mixture from the heat and let it sit until it is warm but no longer hot to the touch.

Dust your facial hair with flour. The flour will absorb any body oils. Corn starch can be used in place of flour, if necessary. Dip a finger in the flour and sprinkle it over the hair that you want to remove. Be careful not to inhale the flour, as sneezing may occur. A light dusting is all that is necessary.

Use a clean finger to test the sugaring solution (from Step 1) and make sure it will not burn your skin. Use your fingers to spread the solution over your facial hair. Spread the sugaring solution in a thin, even layer in the direction that the hair grows.

Place a cotton strip over the sugaring solution on your face. Smooth the cotton strip in the direction of the hair growth with your fingertips. Smooth out any bubbles beneath the cotton strip. Leave the strip on while the solution cools, which will cause the cotton, strip to harden. Wait one to three minutes, depending on how warm the solution is.

Grab the end of the cotton strip on the edge at the end of the direction the hair grows in. Keep a firm grip of the cloth and tear it away in the opposite direction. This can be painful, but it's tolerable. Repeat these steps two to three times to remove all unwanted facial hair naturally.
